A Special Gift I have Received In the Past

A special gift that I have received in the past was a really nice remote controlled car that had a legitimate motor and could go around 25 mph. That's not very fast for a car, but for a RC car, that's really fast. It was the best, I would take it down to the park near my house and drive it in the field. My uncle is the one who gave it to me, he gives really good gifts. Last year, he got me a Xbox 1. But, like all great things, the car eventually stopped working and wouldn't move (around a year and a half later), and it was upsetting. It probably had something to do with my little brothers attacking it constantly. I can't wait to see what I'm getting this year!

Marijuana Debate

For my debate that I am doing in Mrs. Joyner's class, we are debating if Marijuana should be legal or not. There are good reasons on both sides that can, and can't, be argued with.  On the side of it being legal, it helps people cut back on eating, it energizes your senses, makes you feel better about yourself, and protects the brain. On the side of it being illegal, it can cause people to become sick, sad, and can cause women to have unhealthy, underweight babies. Do you think it should be legal or illegal?

"We become what we think about" –Earl Nightingale

Why I chose this quote was because I am always thinking, never really talking. My parents know me as a thinker, so do my friends, and most people who know me. Most of the time I am thinking about things that will happen to me in the future, bad or good. So thats why I chose this quote, because we become what we think about.

I am thankful for a lot of things. First, my family which has taken care of me for my whole life. Second, the fact that we have food to eat and water to drink. Third, I live in a good area (not slum) and the people are nice. And fourth, my parents own a company so I get all I need. And finally, I'm thankful that I live in America and not a bad country.

And things I'm thankful I'm not is:

  • Poor
  • Hungry
  • Homeless
  • Disabled
